At long last building work has commenced at 14 Highland Road – the picture at the bottom shows it in its glory days. The two below show work has begun, which will be a great relief as this will protect the building from further dilapidation.

An application to convert this property into flats was recently approved. However, we understand that given the current economic climate this particular scheme is unlikely to proceed and instead an alternative use may be found such as a day care/residential care home. This will be subject to a further application which we will consider on its merits if and when it is submitted.
