Retrospective Planning Permission refused for the following reason: 

"The replacement front door, by reason of its inappropriate design, causes unacceptable harm to the character of the host dwellinghouse and pair of semi-detached building of which it form part and as a consequence would fail to preserve or enhance the character and appearance of this part of the Shortlands Village Conservation Area, being contrary to Policies 37 and 41 of the Bromley Local Plan, Policy HC1 of the London Plan and Shortlands Village Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan."

An Appeal is unlikely to succeed so the old door and sill will have to be put back.
